I,m from Westminster, Co. I'll be fishing Truman reservoir the week of April 11th. I'll be staying at Bucksaw marina and would like to get some ideas as far as lake areas to to fish and baits to use. Thanks, Herb

Welcome to the site. I hope you enjoy. There will be more lakes in the coming months. Give us your input on the web site.

Herb, Its good to see that our site reaches Colorado. I hope you find our site helpful with information. Fishing all secondary points from Bucksaw towards the main lake should be good. Water level are up at present time. but you always have to watch out for stickups in the lake. Stay in the channel as much as possible when on plane. Good Luck. If there is anything you need don't heesistate to ask. Russ

Russ; Great to hear from you. I've got a couple of good friends who also use this website and all think it's great. I've been a member of the Denver Bassmasters since 1985. In May I'll be fishing Navajo reservoir N.M. as a member of the Colorado State Team. This tournament at Truman is our Colorado State Tournament for 2011. This is my fourth time at Truman, but the second(1990 U.S. Bass) out of Bucksaw. I do understand the extreme caution necessary and staying in the channel. Thanks for reaffirming safety. I noticed all the channel swings near coves and cuts along the Grand arm as you suggested. The secondary points you talk about would be just inside these coves.(?) P.S. Your state has outstanding fishing and many of us in Colorado are jealous, but hearing the Cardinals sing, good BBQ, good Missouri people, and good fish makes the trip priceless.

Herb, Sounds good on the dinner. Look forward to meeting you. Thanks for the comments on the site. Advertising has been slow but we feel business is about to pick up.

Herb, Post a message to his wall. He will get an email. By the way, he had a 7.44 lb bass this past weekend.

hi herb, are you putting out of bucksaw or just staying there? it is a 20+ mile run back to the main lake from there (24 miles?) I love fishing up Tebo myself and I have a few places on the grand and little tebo that you can look at as well. I will email you some spots to check out on your map as well as some lures to have handy, the jerkbait bait will have probably slowed down by now and your gonna want that jig for sure...I will get that stuff to you by thursday

Russ Let me pin point when we'll arrive on Saturday. It may be possible to have dinner Saturday evening which would save you time and gas?

by BassN8R on Apr 07, 2011 08:04 am

Herb, I will be fishing the Central Pro-Am on the Amatuer side (bach of the boat) We take off from Robbins Resort near PB#2. Weigh in is at 3:00pm I think. No need to drive all that way from Truman to LOZ for this weigh in. I still want to eat diner with you on Sunday. Sunday is better for me, because once I get off the water, I am heading home and getting some sleep. I am driving to LOZ that morning so I will leave at 0 dark, dark 30. I have your cell phone # and will call you later today.

Herb,

Just seeing how your week went on Truman, we fished on Saturday after the front and it was still pretty good. Interested to see how it went!

Great job Herb. I went to fish the Big Bass Bash on Lake of the Ozarks, so I couldn't come to your final weigh in. I am glad you did well.
