Brent Chapman

B.A.S.S. Elite Series Angler and Trokar Lazer Hooks Pro, Brent Chapman will be attending the American Fishing Tour Division 58 2-Day Championship at Big Hill Lake in Southeast Kansas. Activities begin Friday evening, August 27, at the Parsons Sirloin Stockade where anglers can register for the tournament. Competition is all day Saturday and Sunday, August 28 and 29. Thirty to 40 anglers from Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma are expected to attend.

Through the efforts of Labette County Tourism Director, Jim Zaleski and Eagle Claw Pro-Staff angler, Becky Minor, Chapman will attend a Saturday night cook-out at the home of Ben and Becky Minor in Parsons where anglers will have the opportunity to talk to Chapman on a one-to-one basis. He will also be on the lake Sunday with his boat and also at the weigh-in, answering questions and talking to the anglers.

Cash and prizes for tournament winners and End-Of-The-Year awards will be presented at the weigh-in, which will begin around 3:00 p.m. at the Timberhill Boat Ramp. The public is invited to attend.

The D58 Champion Angler will receive a prize package including a plaque donated by Quality Pinging of Parsons and 93.5 FM Radio Station, Fitzwater Jigs donated by local angler, Richard Fitzwater, Gene Larew Baits donated by www.theoutboarddoctor.com, and a Skeet Reece Rod, donated by Eagle Claw.

Big Bass of the Year will receive a plaque and prizes donated by Albers Marine of Arma, KS and Brewers Prop Shop of Grove, OK.

D58 Angler of the Year will receive a plaque and an invitation to an entry free 1-day fish-off on Barkley Lake October 2, 2010. The winner of this fish-off will receive a fully rigged Triton boat.

The top 500 national points holders will be invited to compete in a National Championship on Kentucky Lake October 6-8, 2010. Winners receive cash and prizes including a fully rigged Triton boat.
