It was neck to neck with four teams trying to get the number one spot for Pomme De Terre Divisional Champions, only one point separated the four teams. Fishing five tournaments this season with 29 teams this division was putting all their guns out to fire.
Pomme De Terre can change on bite in a heart beat with Mother Nature changing her mind (typical for a woman) Ha Ha! Changing tactics two to three times a day sometimes dazzle the minds of the fishermen but there always seems that some of the teams put it together and weigh in good sacks of fish.
This years 2010 Pomme De Terre Champions has been with this circuit since it started its first year. Teams like these guys you praise for coming out each season, it's teams like this that keep USA Bassin going, so hats off to Steve Sherrill and Kevin Brown, USA Bassin 2010 Pomme De Terre Champions. Great Job Guys!!! This team was given a free entry into the 2010 Regional Championship at Table Rock on October 17.
Right behind them is a team that was in hot pursuit of knocking them out of Championship by one point. Taking second place was Mark Louderbaugh and Robbie Gann. This team never let up on putting pressure on the number one team.
Taking third place with only one point from second and two points from first was the team of Johnny Creech and Steve Denton, this team was also in hot pursuit of knocking out the two teams above them.
Taking fourth place was a team from my bass club years ago that joined us this year. Putting that Triton boat to the test and coming one point away from third and three points from first was a father and son team Paul and Brad Martin.
I want to thank my sponsors Fin and Feather, Tracker Boats, The Original Fish Formula baits, Nemire Lures, Rejuvenade, Mega Baits, All-Terrain Tackle and MoBassFishin this season for their products and letting me put the results on MoBassFishin web site.
Last I want to thank my wife and my assistant director, Jilayne and my son, Tyler. These two stuck with me thru snow, ice, rain and sunny days.
Pomme De Terre Division I'll see you next year in 2011 starting in March. Thanks to all you fishermen out there that made this division possible.
